(STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION)
I am a variety of things. My father was a Baptist minister and missionary. He was ordained in 1935.
As a missionary family, we went to Brazil and Peru. Later, I was also ordained and pastored a church in Florida while on deputation to go to Brazil as a missionary but this did not work out. Therefore, I continued to write while in the process of learning to be a writer but only became serious about it in the past four years.
I am retired from Civil Service (31 years of government service) and was, in those years, active in the U.S. Army for three years. While in the Army, I was a Portuguese and Spanish linguist but was trained in Morse Code, also.
In Civil Service, I was sent to many countries to install telephone exchange equipment and later to install English language laboratories. So far, I've been to 53 countries, most of them for the government. My job with the government was as a telecommunications engineer.
The most memorable places I have been are Brazil, Peru, Panama, Egypt (I have been to more than half the countries in Africa) but most of all, I also have memories of China.
Elsewhere on this site you will find many pictures of China where I had more than 500 students, 378 in one year at one university alone.
I was a teacher in Brazil, Peru, Texas and China teaching English except in Texas where I taught Spanish for one year. However, rather than spending much time with these details here, I will show some pictures on other pages and will discuss some of them there.

Pictures from a friend in China
Can you do this?
This is Ellen, another of my dear students in China.
When I asked to photograph her posing this way,
her comment was that it was nothing, "Everyone
can do this." However, in four years in China,
I found only one other person who could do it.
I have some ideas for authors or for anyone who would like to be an author. After checking out several companies to publish my work, here is the one that I settled on that does so much that other publishers do not such as work with authors to promote get their work copyrighted, get their work in the marketplace and, most of all, to make sure authors do not lose control of the sweat of their brow. This includes many things that are not even discussed with other publishing companies. Even if authors want to put out an audio copy of their book or for those who want only this, the company is quick to work with their customers. Please check out AuthorHouse at: http://www.authorhouse.com/ Note that I provide this as a service to new authors, I stand to gain nothing from AuthorHouse for showing this link.
